He brought to my attention this major issue. Thanks to him, I was not interested at all in this coop.... I am grateful that the coop that we own shares, few years ago, our board was very smart and bought the land that it's built on! Originally it was a 99 year lease!! We are lucky. However, the maintenance fees are going up all the time and one neighbor is unable to afford it, she was crying but she is putting her beautiful 3 bedroom apartment for sale. However, she doesn't know where she is going! Her husband took off to ...... and took her name off the bank account and stopped helping with the maintenance! She cannot even afford food... so glad she opened up about it and we the neighbors are helping her out. THat's the least we can do. One son doesn't want to help a...
