There has been chatter about weapons, including assault weapons in social media.
Here are some sample responses:

Before any government (including the USA) can exact COMPLETE control over their citizenry, they must first find a way to DISARM their citizens so they have no way of defending themselves against such a rogue, diabolical, tyrannical, Marxist government, and subsequently, not being able to defend themselves, their families and their property. Because of the great wisdom of our nation's founding fathers, in establishing the #2A as second in importance only to the #1A was to ensure that in this country, that would never be allowed to happen. Knowing that the citizens of this country would never vote to repeal the #2A, the maniacal left is content to strip away the rights of law abiding citizens piece by piece, with the help of a complicit left wing media spoon feeding the masses the great lie about guns, instead of holding the criminals responsible for their actions. The Genocide against the Armenians, Jews, and many other people nations who were conquered and slaughtered was only possible because they were first (legally) DISARMED by their oppressors. "U.S. Ambassador Henry Morgenthau reported that the Ottoman Turks faced an obstacle: “Before Armenia could be slaughtered, Armenia must be made defenseless.” For those who have eyes to see... https://davekopel.org/NRO/Genocide-resistance-Armenia.html
All due respect…. First, ALL firearms are assault weapons. In the hands of a criminal, even the little.22 pistol will kill someone. The lie of the left seeks to distinguish one weapon from another. Second, the military is controlled by the government, the very institution, when corrupted by tyranny that WE the people need to defend ourselves against. The precise reason we maintain our #2A right to all weapons. #NeverForget #ArmenianGenocide.
Countries That Have Banned Assault-Style Firearms
- Both Australia and New Zealand instituted buyback programs as part of their gun control measures. Thousands of weapons were collected in both countries.
- Australia has had no mass shooting attacks on the scale of the 1996 Port Arthur massacre since subsequent gun control measures were enacted.
- The EU's gun laws do not include an outright ban on some of the most lethal semiautomatic weapons, including the popular AK-47 Kalashnikov.
- The U.S. enacted an assault-style weapons ban in 1994, but it expired ten years later and was not renewed by Congres
