What is the best way to get to Newburgh NY without a car?

The best way to get from Manhattan to Newburgh without a car is by bus. There is a direct bus from New York City that arrives in Newburgh (Broadway & Lake St). Service occurs four times a day, Monday through Friday. 

Is there a train from NYC to Newburgh?

The train does not run directly to Newburgh NY. The most direct train path is taking the Harlem Line from 125th street directly to Beacon, NY. There is a ferry that takes you across the Hudson River from Beacon NY to Newburgh NY. The 10-minute Commuter Ferry ride will take you right to the Metro-North station in Beacon. The orchard is not only filled with apple trees, but is also home to plenty of other fruits and offers fruit-picking opportunities that everyone will enjoy. 

 

If you’re looking for a more intimate picking experience, the Overlook Farm Market in the town of Newburgh is the perfect place for you.

Located right on Route 9W near the Orange County and Ulster County border, this farm market has many unique qualities that make it a special place in the area.

In addition to offering fresh produce in the market, they are open seasonally with a fantastic bakery while offering apple cider donuts during their season.

In the Fall, you can also pick your own apples on their property and pick a pumpkin from their wonderful selection.
