Haverford Village is a large development of townhouses on Ardmore Ave in Ardmore. It was built in 1974.

Pros

  • Outstanding location. Less than 5 minutes drive to the shops, restaurants and train station in downtown Ardmore and the farmer's market in Suburban Square.
  • The development borders a playground on the left side and Haveford College with its miles of trails and duck pond in the back
  • The condo fee includes exterior maintenance, use of the community pool and all water usage
  • The exteriors of the buildings which incorporate different colored brick are quite attractive
  • Plenty of parking in the lot and on nearby streets

Cons

  • Units are fairly small at 1100 - 1300 square feet
  • There are no basements
  • The development feels a bit crowded with little separation between buildings

  • The development is adjacent to a park with a playground and playing fields

5. Ardmore - Ardmore is technically in the suburbs, but like if the suburbs went on a year abroad and came back with cooler taste in music and clothes and had a sudden penchant for exotic food and drink.

Ardmore is seriously cool. It's home to the renowned Tired Hands Brewery, which is chock full of young and trendy professionals any night of the week. It’s also a shopaholic’s dream. There's all the major chains like DSW, Gap, Lululemon, as well as small-town boutiques to scour for one-of-a-kind pieces.

The music scene is great, and it's still an easy commuting distance to the city. If you're looking for a little more space, it’s a nice place to settle into a single home and stay a while.
