 This page will get updated as I find more information: Top Biggest Floods in Recorded History 1. **China (1931)** - Deadliest flood ever, Yangtze & Huai rivers overflowed, ~2-4 million deaths. 2. **China (1887)** - Yellow River broke dikes, flooded 50,000 sq miles, killed ~900,000–2 million. 3. **China (1938)** - Yellow River flood (deliberately breached to slow Japan), ~500,000–800,000 died. 4. **Pakistan (2010)** - Massive monsoon floods, 20 million affected, ~2,000 deaths. 5. **Bangladesh (1998)** - One of worst South Asian floods, 75% of country underwater, 30 million displaced. 6. **USA (1927)** - Mississippi River Flood inundated 27,000 sq miles, displacing ~600,000. 7. **Thailand (2011)** - Widespread flooding, $45 billion damage, affected over 13 million people
