OC and Rehoboth are 2 very different towns.

OC is almost like a big city by the beach, with lots of high rise hotels and a highway running through the middle of town, but it’s 9 miles long and 2 blocks wide! The southern part of the island is the old part of town, and is most like a beach town.

Rehoboth is quieter and more upscale. The beach is much nicer and cleaner, but also much smaller than OC. There is plenty to do as far as shops and restaurants, and you can get around the whole place on foot. It’s popular with families, but also has a large gay community.

Most graduates around here go to Dewey Beach for senior week. If you’re looking to be around lots of others your age, this is where you’ll find them day and night!

Depending on what kind of experience you and your friends are looking for, there’s a Delaware beach to suit nearly any taste.

DART has a route 301 which goes from Wilmington Amtrak station to Dover with stops in Dover. There is also rt 305 which goes from Wilmington Amtrak to Rehoboth Park/RIde with a stop in Dover. The Dover stop however appears to be a park/ride so you might need cab service to reach it? It stops at Rehoboth Park/RIde which will take you into the boardwalk.

- Fly into PHL. Best option then is shuttle service to Dover. http://delexpress.com/

Other option is to take airport train to Phil 30th St station, then take SEPTA rail to Wilmington and then catch the summer bus (DART) to Rehoboth with stop in Dover.

The 10 Worst Places To Live In Delaware For 2020

We used science and data to determine which Delaware cities are the real pits.

https://www.roadsnacks.net/worst-places-to-live-in-delaware/

So in four years, as of 2020 the above list is at this:

After analyzing 35 of the state's most populous cities (over 2,200 people), we came up with this list as the 10 worst places to live in the state of Delaware:

  1. Laurel
  2. Seaford
  3. As per this website Seaford, DE https://www.bestplaces.net/city/delaware/seaford Cons -Isolation -High violent crime rate -Entertainment and in 2013 someone posted this on forum: (if it was bad then, how about 2020 ....) Don't rent any apartments out of Georgetown. You will run into two main problems: 1. Rowdy college students (out of Del Tech) 2. Comment removed by Mod -- Seaford is okay, if you stay out of the deep part of it (stein highway off 13 highway) which is known as drug capitol down in lower slower Delaware. I would suggest living in Bridgeville, Greenwood, or Milford. But these towns are small and there's really no apartment complexes. I would also never send my kids to any Seaford school! Elementary is okay, but middle and high school most of the kids are exposed to drugs and crime. I know several parents out of Seaford that send their kids to the Woodbridge school district (schools are located 15-20 minutes away from Seaford in Bridgeville and Greenwood) Other than that I think you'll like Delaware! Beaches are never far, but not too close, along with the movie theaters and malls. But at the same time you can enjoy the rural life once you get out of high populated areas, Seaford as an example.
