I would love to see adult art classes specially by Rosanne Kaloustian - i would rather have it here in my backyard than go all the way to Westbury Gardens, even though i love that place too.

Schedule of 2009 upcoming events at Fort Totten Park:
Sunday June 28 - Lawn concert/Bayside Historical - bring a chair - time: 6pm

July 2009:
Sunday July 19 - noon to 4pm:
Fort Totten Parade Grounds: join for a fun afternoon of free activities including games, crafts, medical screening, pet micro chipping, inflatables and more

Saturday July 25, Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors: time: 4pm - bring a chair or blanket

Dancing under the stars finale: Wed July 29 at 7pm/Little Bay Park Roller Hockey Rink. Bring your dancing shoes or just a chair as you enjoy the sounds of the live band "One Night Stand"

August 2009:
Puppets in the Parks "Sleeping Beauty"
Monday Aug 3 10:30am - lawn area near entrance - please bring a chair or blanket

September 2009:
Back to school festival:
Sat, 9th - 12noon - 3pm
A free afternoon of fun int he park including arts and crafts, projects, games and other fun activities.

October 2009:
Fort on Haunted Hill - Halloween Festival:
Sat Oct 24, 12noon - 4pm raindate: 10/25
Fort Totten or Crocheron Park (check the website for update as to location)

I received the 1st time their newsletter recently (issue sprin/summer - 2009 - volume 4 / Issue 1) - interestingly they already had 4 volumes and this is the only one reached me - it was in the lobby of my building. So glad I had a copy.

I learned about the Oakland Ravine Stormwater Project - it's nice to learn about your neighbourhood. I love strolling at the Oakland Lake and Park - it's so serene and beautiful there.
